The Enyaq iV will be the first Škoda model based on Volkswagen's MEB platform designed exclusively for electric cars. The car will be unveiled in the second half of this year, and sales should start next year. How the car will look like for now we can only guess from the photos and videos of the masked models that Škoda is currently testing on the roads. But in addition to publishing these photos, Škoda has made public almost all the most important details related to the new Enyaq.
For now, it is known that it will be a large mid-range SUV 465 cm long, 188 cm wide, and 162 cm high. The interior, typical for Škoda, will be extremely spacious, and the trunk will hold as much as 585 liters. Five versions will be offered, and their range will be quite good thanks to numerous intelligent solutions, special tires, and top aerodynamics for one SUV (coefficient 0.27).
Škoda will offer three rear-wheel-drive versions and one rear engine each. The basic version will have 148 hp, a battery capacity of 55 kWh and a range of 340 kilometers. The more powerful model will have a 180 hp engine, a 62 kWh battery, and a range of 390 kilometers, and at the top of the range of rear-wheel-drive models will be a 204 hp variant with an 82 kWh battery and a range of 500 kilometers.
The Enyaq will also be offered in more prestigious variants with two engines and all-wheel drive. They will have 265 and 306 hp, 82 kWh battery, and a range of 460 km. According to Škoda's tradition, the most powerful model will be called the VRS, it will accelerate to 100 in just 6.2 seconds and reach a maximum of 180 km / h. Enayaq will support charging batteries up to 125 kW, which will allow the most powerful 10 to 80 percent battery to be charged in 40 minutes.
Škoda also revealed details about the interior of the car but did not publish any photos. The car will have the most modern connectivity and infotainment systems, a screen with a diameter of 13 inches, a head-up screen, and many other novelties. For the first time, environmentally sustainable materials will be used in the car. The price of the car will be known at the end of the year.
