At the IAA Commercial Vehicles Show in Hanover, a jury of 23 European commercial vehicle journalists awarded the 2019 European Truck of the Year Ford F-max truck.
With 126 points scored, Ford's truck left second and third with the new Scania L&P series, as well as Volvo Trucks FH / FM Natural Liquid Gas (LNG) trucks.
During extensive tests in Turkey, this truck was impressed by the jury primarily due to its integrated advanced systems package - Eco-Roll, Adaptive Cruise Control, Predictive Cruise Control… The jury was also impressed with the quiet and powerful combination of the 12.7-liter Ford The Ecotorq Euro6 500 horsepower engine and 12-speed ZF Traxon automatic transmission, with no less noticeable ergonomic and other characteristics of a great driving environment.
This is only the second Truck of the Year title for Ford, the first to win the Cargo model since 1982.
