AOC unveils two new 27 ”G2 monitors

AOC has introduced two new 27 "models within its G2 series of gaming monitors. These are the AOC Q27G2U and AOC CQ27G2U monitors. They differ from each other by only one feature - the CQ27G2U has a curved (1500R) and the Q27G2u has a flat VA panel. Other specifications are identical for both models.

The new G2 series monitors are equipped with 27 "VA panels with 2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution and 16: 9 aspect ratio. Visible angles are 178 degrees (horizontal and vertical). They feature 250 nits brightness, 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms response rate, and support for AMD FreeSync.

Both monitors have a 3,000: 1 contrast ratio and cover 85 percent of NTSC, 90 percent of Adobe RGB and 120 percent of the sRGB spectrum. Also, both monitors can display up to 16.7 million colors.

As far as connectors are concerned, their number is identical except that the curved model has HDMI 2.0 and straight HDMI 1.4 ports. AOC provided both models with 2x HDMI and 1x DisplayPort (1.2) video input. There's also a USB 3.0 hub with four ports and one 3.5mm audio port for the headset and Line In.

For users who are not fans of headphones, AOC has equipped the monitors with 2W stereo speakers. More specifications are available on the manufacturer's website. Both monitors on the market will be available from February 2020 at prices of $ 299, or about $ 525 (Q27G2U) and $ 319, or about $ 560 (CQ27G2U).
