Artificial Intelligence Against Crime

Artificial intelligence is increasingly being used to prevent fraud of all kinds, and by 2021 this could have tripled compared to the situation we have today. He states in his forecast ACFE (Association of Certified Fraud Examiners), which he reached with the help of SAS and which is based on a thousand ACFE members.

So, at present, only 13 percent of business organizations use artificial intelligence and (or) machine learning as a measure of fraud protection, and in the next year or two, another 25 percent intend to do so. Furthermore, 26 percent of organizations use biometrics as part of their protection, while 16 percent believe that they will introduce something by 2021. Most importantly, 55 percent of those surveyed intend to increase the budget for combating fraud of all kinds.

- As criminals find new ways to exploit technologies to scam and find victims, so professionals who tackle such scams on a daily basis use more advanced technologies to stop them. However, it is not always easy to identify which of these advanced technologies is best for an organization, so answering that question may also provide the answer to the question of how secure an organization will be from trying, said Bruce Dorris, President, and CEO (CEO). in ACFE.

He also said that the leader of the SAS Fraud Prevention Department had come to his words.

-The tools available today to combat fraud and prevent them are more intelligent than ever. Due to this fact, we are not limited to the reaction after committing fraud, but with artificial intelligence, we can have a better prevention system, which comes with quality ways of recognizing potential threats - he said.

Clearly, artificial intelligence can be a great tool in the fight against all those threats that are somehow constantly present in the technological world. But it should also be made clear that the "bad guys" are also using new technologies to scam and find victims.
