The Nissan Ariya Concept reveals the design direction of future models

The new Nissan Ariya Concept was unveiled today at the 46th Tokyo Motor Show. It heralds a new era for the brand and a new chapter in the philosophy of creating advanced vehicles.

Ariya Concept has a spacious, luxurious passenger compartment equipped with advanced technological systems. The vehicle is a vision of Nissan's intelligent mobility of passenger cars - one in which the combination of electrification and intuitive systems delivers driving without the risk of accidents or harmful emissions.

Ariya Concept implements and develops design elements that were first introduced on the IMx concept vehicle during the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.

Although it is a concept vehicle, the look of an electric crossover, unconventional interior, and exterior design elements could be found in products in the near future.

The new ProPILOT also allows hands-free driving on the road when traveling in one lane. When a vehicle approaches an intersection, or when a slower vehicle is opened, the system will evaluate the appropriate moment of moving into another lane or overtaking based on the information provided by the navigation system and the various types of sensors that cover the 360-degree angle around the vehicle. The driver is given intuitive audio and visual instructions and instructed when to put both hands on the steering wheel and confirm the onset of actions by pressing a button. When ProPILOT 2.0 is on, interior lighting changes color to signal hands-free driving and create a relaxing atmosphere.

The Nissan Ariya Concept is powered by front and rear electric motors.

Travel assistance is not limited to a vehicle. One feature of connecting man and machine is Door to Door Navigation, which allows anyone to enter a destination on a smartphone, transfer it to a vehicle, and then follow the directions of the vehicle's navigation system. If you reach the final destination on foot, the system will automatically send the last section of the route to the driver's smartphone.

While approaching the car, drivers are greeted by welcome lights, and the vehicle is unlocked automatically without having to search for a key. The driver can choose settings such as the position of the driver's seat and temperature, even before entering the vehicle. He can then save them on his smartphone as his unique profile. The car can also comply with the driver's schedule and provide departure times to adjust the temperature in the vehicle and be ready to depart. Heating or cooling the vehicle while it is connected to the mains increases the vehicle's range.

Once the driver is stationed, the Virtual Personal Assistant can assist him in finding information and locating a parking spot so that the driver can keep his eyes on the road.

While driving, Smart Route Planner automatically recognizes charging stations and plans to charge while traveling. So it guarantees the driver that they will reach their destination safely, whether near or far.
